Epic crossings

If big climbs and epic crossings are what make you tick, these tours are for you.

Road bike adventures for passionate cyclists. Crossing the Alps, the Pyrenees, the Massif Central, or one of the lesser known Mediterranean coastal ranges, these fully supported trips are all about the journey and the experience. The pass, high point of the climb, is one of the essence of road biking. With its gradients, hairpin bends, altitude and scenery, each mountain pass is unique.

Spring and autumn getaways

Extend your road cycling season with our spring and autumn road bike tours in France!

Whether it's to kick start your training season in the spring, or to get some autumn sunshine before the winter months set in, the south of France is a perfect destination for some low season riding.  With mild temperatures, abundant sunshine and the low season for tourism, the Côte d'Azur, Provence and the Provençal Pre-Alps offer perfect conditions for road biking from March to June. Not forgetting Corsica, surely the most beautiful place in France!

September and October are also great months for riding in these regions, with autumn colours offering a dramatic twist to already stunning landscapes. The oak forests and vineyards of the nearby Luberon, Baronnies and Mont Ventoux also offer a blaze of fiery colours as autumn sets in.

Gravel

Discover our dedicated gravel bike tours.

Gravel - An off the beaten track adventure, an immersion in nature and a whole lot of freedom. Whether it's fast descents on asphalt, leisurely pedaling through forests and meadows, contemplative or gruelling gravel road grinds, or some playful swoopy singletrack... Gravel bike tours offer it all, and more. For us, gravel bikes are THE perfect tool for sporty journeys of discovery off the beaten track, seemlessly mixing up road and off-road riding and adventure. They offer the opportunity to discover some lesser known places, but are still more than capable of eating up the miles with ease. You guessed it... We love gravel!

You too? Then come and join us, and get to know another side of France. Whether in the Northern or Southern Alps, Provence or the Massif Central, France Bike Trips has a gravel tour for you. 15 to 30 % of each day is off-road, depending on the chosen tour. The rest of the riding is mostly on quiet country roads, with an occasional mythical mountain pass (that takes on a completely different significance in the context of a gravel tour). Each tour offers different levels and options, which means you can find just the right tour for you.
